He left home
A boy
Ready to
Fight a war
In far off
Desert sand.
He saw comrades
Broken and bloodied
Fallen to the ground.
He’d watch
Life fall away
And saw visions
Of hell
Night and Day.
He left for
War a Soldier boy
Came back a broken
Man
Struggling to
Keep the
Demons at bay.
