Our World Changed

In an Instant

Our World changed

And hatred carried

Many names.

We saw America

Shaken to its core

As we realized

Terrorism

Had knocked

Down our door.

Hatred did not

Care whose

Blood was shed

That day

It never does.

America fell

To its knees

And the world

Watched in horror

As they realized

Safety had become

A faded illusion.

We were shaken

To the core

From sea to shining

Sea

Our World was

Turned upside down.

The world grieved

As terror wiped out more

Lives

Than ever before

On America’s Shore.
