She Said Daddy
She said Daddy
Like the generations before me
I am called to fight for what’s right
Innocent children deserve
A chance
And I’m willing to fight.
She said Daddy
I held a little girl in my arms
Broken and Beaten
It’s just not right.
When I was a little girl
You protected me from harm.
She said Daddy
I really thought I’d
Make it home
But my blood was shed
So this little girl
May know
What freedom
Tastes likes.
She said Daddy
I’m sorry I didn’t make it
Home.
