She’ll Bend Until She Breaks

Photo by Ismael Sanchez from Pexels

Always the strong

One

The one

Others lean

On

A quiet strength

That often bleeds

She’ll bend

Until she breaks

And press on

Broken as they

Stand and

Watch her

Crack under

Pressure.

She doesn’t turn

To others

She did before

But they brushed

Her off

Flicked her away

Like dust

On a collar.

It isn’t easy

She puts a

Smile on her face

A mask that

Hides the broken

Parts.

She’ll bend

Until she breaks

As they watch

Her crack

Under the weight

Of the pressure.
