Show Us How To Forgive

Lord

We go through life

Angry at those

We are called to love

We say hateful things

And refuse to apologize

Because they said

Something

To hurt us before

Months, years

It really doesn't matter

To us

We can nurse a grudge for a lifetime

Ignoring your teachings,

Lord now I pray

Show us how to forgive

So we can love

Instead of hate.
