Six and a Half Years On Medium
A Journey of Growth
Six and a half years ago, I made a decision, a decision that I had no idea would not only help hone my writing skills, but would also give me some incredible opportunities, and would allow me to get to read the work of talented authors all over the world, but Medium was changing and updating as much as I was.
What Led Me to Medium
Honestly, it was nothing spectacular, my cousin encouraged me to check it out, and once I did, I felt like this was the place I needed to be and honestly this platform has helped me through some difficult times.
After joining Medium late in February, I tested the waters, and a few days later, I signed up for the M.P.P. At the time, I was attending parent-teacher nights for the youngest niece, helping her with homework at her mother’s request. Both of my nieces often stayed at my house at the same time. Little Miss would often do her homework while I worked on a story or poem, and I would encourage her both with her homework and with her dreams.
