Some Things Are Beyond Words

• Got some news about a cousin, that just kind of shook me…Not my place to go into details, but had to write my feeling about it…

I wish I knew what

To say

Some magic word

That would make it

All okay

But sometimes

There is nothing

That you can

Say

Other than platitudes

That seem both

Meaningful and Meaningless

In the same breath.

Sometimes t

Words just aren’t

Enough

And sometimes

They can seem

Like too much.

But I’ll send

Words up in

Silent prayer

Even when the words

Just won’t come

Because I know

He feels our silence

Understands what we cannot stay.

And I hope you know

Even if I can’t be

There no

That I’m always

A phone call away.
