The Songs That Helped Me Grow
I know I often share posts about music, but this is a little different, these are the songs that have helped shape my character as both an author, and a person, who happens to be Christian, so you will see spiritual songs on this list, but this isn’t all going to be about spirituality, first let me start with the songs that helped shape my childhood, that stir up memories of long rides in my Dad’s Old Orange Datsun pick up, songs that remind me too of the little red house we lived in when I was in middle school, as well as Nonna’s house, songs, smells and images can all take me back to that time, to a memory.
Let me start off with probably one of my all time favorite songs, a Jim Croce song 🎵 that I grew up loving and as I realized the meaning behind this song, it touched me even more. He wrote this song upon learning his wife was pregnant with their son A.J, a son he sadly would not get to see grow up.
