Parkinson’s Fundraiser
As part of the Michael J Fox Parkinson’s research fundraiser, our little Community stepped back in time to 1885 for the first time in four years.
My personal favorite was the event costumes, the sets, and the chance to take a picture inside the Delorean for a small donation. As I have grown to know one of the men who put this on, a man who worked with Michael J Fox before Parkinson’s took over his body, I got tons of photos.
In a recent interview with Michael J Fox, I was heartbroken to see how this disease advances.
I do not know the numbers of donations brought in, but next time Bobby stops in, I’m sure I’ll find out. Although I know the turnout was great, we had a severe thunderstorm Saturday afternoon that knocked out most of the tri-county area’s power.
