Talia Part Three
The Saga Continues
We’re going to never understand why we’re hated and blamed for something half a world away, and why we’re looked down upon for praying for the hostages, when all we’re trying to do is survive.
Bobe looks around with sadness in her eyes, a sadness she knows all too well, and I know she worries, wonders if history will repeat itself. Bobe isn’t fragile, she’s strong, and I think sometimes we forget that because of her age.
“Talia, you’re going to keep our story alive, mine, yours, your parents’. G-d brought us all together just like he’ll get us through this. Even if we don’t have answers yet, G-d does.”
I nodded grateful for Bobe, for her encouragement, for her strength, for her faith, knowing we weren’t alone in this helped, but at times we really did feel alone, we asked ourselves questions we couldn’t answer because we couldn’t figure out why people did what they did. Many things I couldn’t understand, like why hatred is such a powerful force, there had to be good in the world, and there was, but there were those who just wanted to destroy others.
“Talia, we need to pray for those who are hurting, those who think hatred is the only way out, but it’s a sickness that’s been going on since the beginning. G-d doesn’t bring hate, man does that on his own.”
