Listen closely, do you hear that? The laughter of children around the schoolhouse, and a teacher long dead.

The teacher protects the children, nameless, faceless all of them, but many swear they are there.

Perhaps you can hear the sounds of Veterans from long ago wars, and children who never lived to see adulthood, in the old cemetery behind the school. The cemetery tells the quiet stories of those gone before us, as does the schoolhouse, school hasn’t been in session there for over eight decades, Earthquake laws required a newer school was built up to code.

But people come from all over to look into an empty classroom, that somehow does not feel so empty, and every so often it does come to life, with adults and children from all over the world, you can hear the echoes of laughter of the children you can see, and perhaps the one you cannot see.
