There are the scars

We wear

The one’s that

The world sees

And the ones

We hide

Hidden on the

Inside

Under a guise

Of normalcy.

Bu the one’s

That cause the

Most by far

Is the one’s we

Bury deep within.

The one’s we are

Afraid to let others

See.

We fear brokenness

The way others look

At us

In a world of

Ableism

In all it’s forms

We’ve learned to

Bury the pain

Letting it Bubble up

Until we explode.

There are the scars

We wear

Jagged

From the knives

Life throws at us.

There are the scars

We wear

The ones that make
