The Vanishing: Chapter Four and Five
Chapter Four:
I stared at the blank page, waiting for inspiration to strike. Today the words weren’t coming as easily, there were days like that. Days when the words did not flow from my fingertips the way I wanted them too, but as hard as it could be, I could not imagine not being a writer.
I had hoped the weekend spent with Eliana would give me the inspiration I needed, but that wasn’t happening not now. I was probably over thinking the plot again.
Lord let the words I write, bring you glory. You gave me the gift, I ask you show me how to use it in a way that honors you.
I looked at the blank screen on my laptop, the Scrivener document that still stood empty. Finally I got up, so I could go for a walk, often that would help clear my head and give me the inspiration I needed.
The day was warm, but not to warm, soon the colder weather would be moving in, and walks like this would be out of the question. I’d get my exercise on my Peloton when the cold weather moved in.
The sun felt good, warm, but not overly so, warm for this late in the season. But a beautiful day like today was a gift, and I was happily going to accept it.
