Chapter Two:

January:2021

I knew interviews were part of the success of my books, it was away for my readers to get to know about the authors, but the one subject I never wanted to talk about the interviewers always did, they always wanted to know about Zaira, but I had nothing to tell them,and even if I did the case was not closed, it had gone cold, but was not closed. I was not at the liberty to talk about the details of my sisters case, and it was painful to discuss it, I lived with the pain everyday, but the questions only seemed to intensify that pain.

I closed my eyes, trying to pull myself together. The interview hadn’t even started and I was already freaking out, this was going to make for interesting television.

Calm my nerves G-d.

I sat down, on the seat opposite of the popular daytime talk show host. A fair distance apart, it had been nearly a year since we had faced the world in the midst of a Pandemic, and a lot had changed, but in some ways it felt that change had been for the better. Families spent more time together. We became closer, but the pain of Talia’s missing place was also evident.

I tried to calm my nerves as the questions started to come. I was more than prepared to talk about my books, but talking about my missing sister was not…
