The Weight Is Heavy

The words don’t always

Come the way

I need them to

Instead there’s a weight

A burden

He lifts me up

But sometimes

I need to reach out

Too.

A heart that

Is hurting

A loss impending

God knows the

Timing

But an Aunt

Nearing her last chapter.

But words don’t come

Questions do

Prayers that I can’t

Exactly

Say in so many

Words!

My heart hurts

For the questions

That may never

Be answered

For the children
