The Year That Nearly Broke Us … And Showed Us Our Strength
2020 has been a year of contradictions. We’ve learned the importance of knowing what to say in order to show someone that we love them, while being isolated at the same time due to the coronavirus. We’ve learned that technology really does have it place, but it’s up to us to decide how to use it.
2020 has taught us that anger and confusion can lead to mistakes that cannot be wiped away and treated like they didn’t happen. For many of us, we have learned that the greatest strength is found when we learn to admit that we don’t always have the answers.
It’s not always easy dealing with the lessons life teaches us, but when you throw a pandemic into the midst, things accelerate to a whole new level, one never seen before. We’ve become so quick to judge others. We get mad at others because they are unequipped to educate their own children … but in reality, not all of us have the capacity to teach.
I’ve had the opportunity to meet amazing people throughout the pandemic, through social media and through my writing, people I may not have met otherwise, people whose stories was far more powerful than mine.
