There Are Times

There are times

I’m strong

Steady as a lion

And times

I feel shattered

Pieces to put

Together

Like shapes

In a child’s

Kaleidoscope.

There are times

I feel like

I’m on top

Of the world

And times

I feel like

I’m free falling

Without a parachute.

There are times

I feel like

I can run any

Race

Fast as I can

Be

And times

When reality

Slaps me

In the face.

There are times

I feel completely

Broken

And times

I feel like

I’m whole.
