Today is international Disability Day…

There’s ability

In disability

For some that’s

Hard to see

They look at

Others so

Differently

As if wheelchairs,

Crutches

Braces,

A white cane

A hearing aids

Deafness,

Blindness

A spinal cord injury

Eliminate all possibility

And honestly

I feel sorry for

Those who look

At the world

In that way

With blinders

On their eyes

When it comes

To possibility.

There’s a gift

Everyone has to

Give to this world

If only the world

Would stop looking

At them with the eyes
