This stanza is heart crushing! You are awesome doing what you do!

My next patient is a mother
grieving her daughter’s suicide.
She’s losing her mind to grief.
She can’t eat. She can’t sleep.
I’m the first person she’s seen
since she lost her young teen.
My eyes brimming with tears,
I share struggles of my own,
hoping she’ll feel less alone,
and give her a script for a pill
to help keep her mind still.
