We don’t stand alone

In the midst of the storm

To be beaten down

By the pounding of the

Waves.

His hand

Calms the sea

So we may

Get safely

To our destiny.

We are not

Broken vessels

Floating alone

In the emptiness

We are being led

To a destiny.

We are not

Made up of

Broken dreams,

Crushed memories

And the things

We cannot be

Instead he sees

In us

Endless possibilities.

We don’t stand alone

Stamped by a single

Word that

Means a million things

Disability.

Instead he see’s in us

The Ability,

To be

Who we are called to be.
