We Need More Than Followers
We need Genuine Readers/Listeners
In the scheme of things followers aren’t as important as readers, I have over 3000 followers after five plus years on this platform and a small portion of those actually read what I write, that’s where the earnings come in, and even more importantly those are the people I have genuinely interacted with over the years.
Earnings are of course not the only thing that matters. We want people to actually read, or listen to what we are saying, otherwise we wouldn’t be on this platform, we would be writing in a personal diary.
Now, I’m not saying that the income, such as it is isn’t a nice bonus, because it truly is. But for the most part it doesn’t matter if you have 110 followers or, 10,010 followers if they don’t read what you are writing, they really aren’t bringing much to the table. And let me tell you, that begging for followers will get you nowhere.
So, I encourage you to seek out those who are genuinely going to interact. Don’t focus so much on the number of people following you, but instead focus on those who actually read, or listen and interact.
