What I Choose Not to Write About

I rarely write about one thing, and honestly I don’t expect that to change, as I don’t enjoy arguing politics, for me, politics are personal and I don’t want to further divide society.

In addition to writing about faith, family, and fiction, poetry, and reviews, I will occasionally touch on political topics, but that does not mean I am without convictions. There is no doubt that I do, and if I feel compelled to write about something, I will.

In an English class I had in College, we were told to write essays on various subjects with both sides, and that has allowed me to think of things more critically. I won’t go off on a tangent just because I think it will get me views, what kind of mark would I be leaving if I did that, what kind of legacy am I leaving? I am not completely uneducated on all things political I’m educated enough to stay away from the hot button topics, because they are always changing anyway. And I’m certainly not for boxing those who may have different views than I do, into a neat little box, anymore than I want someone to do that to me.

Disability awareness in life and in entertainment is a subject I am passionate about and will always advocate for. I will continue to share inspirational stories, as well as the not so easy ones, because life isn’t always easy.
