When Life Gives You Lemons: Chapter One

7 Deep calls to deep
in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers
have swept over me.
8 By day the Lord directs his love,

Chapter One:
One minute you may be living your dream life, and the next you may be lying in the hospital looking for answers to a thousand questions.
My apartment’s washer and dryer were long overdue for the scrap heap so I wanted to see what was available at a home improvement store. Despite being a typical trip, a typical errand on a rare day off, the end was anything but ordinary.
Perhaps if I had been in uniform and carrying my duty weapon, it would have been better, maybe it would have been worse.
