Who Am I?

Who am I

A simple question

But not really

I am first and

Foremost

A child of God,

The daughter of

A king!

Who am I?

A sister, a daughter

An Auntie,

And a Sunday School

Teacher

To children

Who have a way

Of brightening

My day.

Who am I

A Friend,

A confidante

Someone to

Lean on

A Deacon

And so much

More

Not to my

Glory

But God’s

Without him

I’d be a lost vessel

Bobbing away

On a choppy sea.

Who am I

A writer

Words are

My passion

My freedom

My breath

On the hardest

Of days

Who am I

A child of God,

A daughter of

The king!
