Has been long

And hard

You’ve fought a

Heros fight

Fighting a battle

That could have

Called you home

Long ago.

You were stronger

Than most

Thirty plus years

Fighting a battle

That could bring

Anyone to their knees

And still you stood.

But today

Your battle ended

Pain and sorrow

Gone

Reunited with

The parents

You so love.
